Motion and Forces

Hello everyone,

For the last week for reading we have been learning about forces and motion. In our reading groups we had to read about forces and motion. We had to create a DLO about the different forces we had learnt about. We learnt about what forces are and what they can do. My favourite part was reading about forces and motion. The hardest part to me was finding the information to fill the boxes. The learning behind this was to learn about motion and forces and what they can do.
Here is my DLO:

Speech DLO

Kia ora,

For the last few days, we have been coming up with topics for our speeches. Mines about: Why chickens should not be caged. We made a google draw to display our reasons in pictures. We couldn't use any words to talk about our pictures. My favourite part was creating the draw. The hardest part was coming up with three reasons on why chickens should not be caged.
Here is my draw. See if you can figure out my three reasons.

Little Box Magic Maths

Hello fellow bloggers,

For the last few days for maths, we have been about missing number equations. We did this task in our mixed ability groups. This an example of we were doing: 100 went into the box and 56 came out of the little box, what happened in the box?  Today, we created a DLO for a missing number problem of our own. My favourite part was being able to choose our equation. The hardest part was that we had to use our own piece of paper to work out some of the problems when we were in our group. The learning behind this task was to learn about subtraction and missing number problems.
See if you can work my equation out:

Poetry and Prose

Black Holes Inquiry

Hello everyone,

For the last couple of weeks, we have been learning about Planet Earth and Beyond. We had to choose a topic we wanted to learn about. After that, we had to write questions that we would answer. They had to be about the topic we chose. I chose black holes. I had multiple questions about black holes. They were... How do black holes form?, What happens when you get sucked into a black hole? and How big can a black hole be?  I enjoyed learning about how black holes form and I liked researching and answering my wondering questions. The hardest part was finding the information because we didn't have internet for a few days. Instead, we used books to take notes about our topic. Here are two facts I learnt about black holes: You turn redder as you enter a black hole and a black hole can grow up to 50 billion suns! The learning behind this task was to find the answer to a wondering about Planet Earth and Beyond.
This is my presentation about black holes:
