Earthquakes Create Task

Kia ora,

For weeks 3, 4 and 5, we have been learning about Earthquakes. We had to choose a task out of a:

  • Timeline and venn diagram,
  • Birds eye view,
  • fault lines and a
  • Reporter activity.
I chose do use the venn diagram and timeline to share my knowledge about earthquakes. For the task we had to figure out which earthquakes occurred earliest in time and most recently and create a timeline. Part 2 was to chose 2 of those earthquakes and create a venn diagram. The hardest part was finding information for one of the earthquakes because it was so long ago. I found if exciting to see what magnitude some of the earthquakes were. The learning behind this was to find out about earthquakes and what they do.

  2. : Hello Ronan I'm Ricardo I come from Paihia school. Your blog post was very interesting. The thing I like about your writing is you explained when the earthquake happened, how long it lasted, you also explained how long the earthquakes was and how many people died. Another thing I liked was you explained more than one earthquake so there was more information and more to read. I really like your Blog post about earthquakes I hope you liked my comment bye.

  3. Kia Ora Ronan, My name is Jack & I go to Paihia School. I really liked your blog post about Earthquakes. I liked how you did the Venn diagram. I did not know much about a Venn diagram before but now I fully understand what it is, and what you have to do with it. I know that lots of people in my school would have chosen to do the birds eye view as it seems like the easiest but I like how you did yours. It’s pretty scary about how many people died even if it is not many for the size of these town’s! What were the most interesting facts that you found out about the Earthquakes? Keep up the good work! Jack.
