This Friday it is Greats and Grands day at our school.
We had to write an explanation about something that grandparents face when they get old.
I chose going blind. We had to find three suggestions about our topic.
Here is my Piece of writing about becoming blind.
How Grandparents Cope with Blindness.
A grandparent is a mother that has had a baby and their baby has had a baby. When a human gets old their body parts start to get weak and they will not be able to do the things they use to. This is aging and it makes many problems. One of the problems is becoming blind and I will be sharing my ideas of what you could do if you are blind.
Firstly, one of the things you could do is get a guide dog. A guide dog is a dog that helps you navigate around in your house, in the city and on footpaths.
Secondly, another thing you could do is get stronger glasses. Stronger glasses will help you see better. With stronger glasses you will be able to see signs and important things like your grandchild's writing and family things such as cards.
Finally, the last thing you could do is go to a retirement village. There, you will be able to get someone to help you move around in the village. Also when you want to go shopping you will have someone to help you move around in the shops.
Blindness can be a bad problem to grandparents. With my ideas and suggestions I hope you have found some things you could do to help you with blindness.
