Hello everyone,
Today we have been creating our own games on Scratch Junior. My game was about me trying to get to a house. We used arrows in the North, South, West and East directions. We coded them so every time me clicked them the person would move in that direction. My favourite part was trying to complete my game. The hardest part was getting the person to the end. The learning behind this was to know how to create a basic game. I learnt about the tap button. I learnt how if you have coded the code properly when you touch one of the characters they will make another character move.
Here is a screencastify about me doing my game:

Structure of the Earth Comic
Hello everyone,
For the last two weeks, we have been learning about the Structure of the Earth. We learnt about the four layers of the Earth. The crust, mantle, outer core and inner core are the layers of the Earth. We learnt what the four layers are made up of too. After a few days of learning about the Earth's structure we had to create a comic, questionnaire or an animation about the structure of the Earth. I chose the comic. After we finished the comic we made a PMI chart. I enjoyed doing it because I got to create my comic and be as imaginative as I wanted it to be. It was tricky to fit all the writing I wanted into my boxes. The learning behind this was to know about the four layers of the Earth.

Is Earth like a hard - boiled egg?
Kia ora bloggers,
We are learning about what the Earth is like on the outside and the inside. We used hard-boiled eggs as mini-models for the earth. We got to design our own continents and islands on the outside of the egg shell. At the end of the experiment we got to eat the egg! The egg tasted okay.

Maths Halving
Kia ora,
Today, we have been halving shapes. We had to get into pairs and rule a shape. Then, our buddy had to find out where was half in their shape. I found it easy to find half in my buddies shape because the shape was very plain. One half of my buddies shape was 19 boxes. I enjoyed designing my shape. I found it hard to draw my shape onto my chrome book. Sorry if the halves go over the grid.

Mixed - Ability Maths
Kia ora,
This term we have been doing mixed - ability maths groups. The purpose was to help other kids learn different strategies for maths. We had to use different strategies to work out different problems.
How I feel about? I don't mind working in a group because I get to learn about how different people solve maths problems.
What I have enjoyed? I have enjoyed working with my group because they are always happy and I help them learn new strategies for maths. I also like it because they teach me their ways they use to solve problems like times tables and skip counting.
What I have found difficult? I found it tricky to work with my group because they sometimes are unfocused and are chatting to their friends. I also find it hard to work with my group because they ignore me or start singing and stop listening to my working out.
What can I do to change my negative thinking?
Give the pencil more often to my group member's and try to ask them more questions to get them to listen.

Maths Understanding
Kia ora,
For the last three days, we have been solving maths problems. We have to work them out by using two strategies. One is equal adjustments and the other one is place value partitioning. We had to make a google draw to show how we worked the problems out. I enjoyed figuring out the problems because I liked using equal adjustments. I found it tricky to work out one of the problems because the number went over the tens. The learning behind this task to know how to use equal adjustments and place value partitioning.
Here is my slide show about my maths understanding:

Coding
Hello everyone.
Today we had a lady named Cassandra come in to teach us about coding. We had to pick a scientist from a slideshow that Cassandra shared us. We also thing that the scientist had get collect . We had to put danger zones in as obstacles. We then had to make the code for our scientist so that he can get to the thing. I enjoyed making the course for the scientist. It was hard to make the code. The whole learning was to learn how to code paths to get through coursers.
