Skittles

In our Skittles writing we were learning how to get to rubric 4 by adding Hook, Appropriate adjectives, adverbs, powerful verbs, smiles, metaphors and alliteration. I need to do this so that the person reading my writing gets a clear picture in their mind. I think I'm doing well because I have used a little personification, adverbs, similes and adjectives. I need to work on using metaphors.

Reflecting on my Learning

Today I had a conference with my teacher. We discussed my learning. I have reflected on my learning so far this year. Here are my reflections.

Collaborative Bird Wings

We made a Collaborative bird for Up, Up and Away. We each made a feather for our birds wings.
How we made our feather:
First we traced around a paper feather.
Secondly we then draw patterns on our feather with chalk.
Lastly we dyed our feather. We had to choose complimentary colours.

Measurement

For Maths we have been learning about measurement. So I made a DLO (digital learning object). I created one to explain Area and Perimeter. Here is a video I made.

Kite

Yesterday we made kites out of dry flax sticks and plastic bags. My kite was good at flying and it didn't break.

We have been learning to complete Science Investigations. We learnt about the Scientific Method. We will share our learning at our school Science Fair.
